New Year… The Beginning!!!

Foods For New Years Eve!
It was New Years Eve and I was alone. My parents went to the province and I decided to stay here in Baguio for it’s the only time I can stay longer here in Baguio because of work. So, I decided to spend New Year with my cousins at Quezon Hill. We prepared food for us to share on “Mega Noche”, decoration for good luck and prosperity for the coming year like a lot of coins, 12 round-shaped fruits, etc. It was also the time for me to bond with my cousins. I really had a great time.

Father and Daughter Moment!
Tik tok tik tok…  Dang! Its almost 12 midnight, some of our neighbors were already lighting their fireworks and indeed it was so beautiful. An addition to that we were fascinated with the lights.  We had firecracker but we only bought baby rocket as our fireworks because it’s one of the safest. I let my niece and her dad to light it and BOOM!!! They inspired me. By looking at them, father and daughter helping each other to light the firecracker, both with smiles at their faces, I enjoyed watching them because I know for sure that they were having a great time.
I wanted to capture that perfect moment. Luckily, my cousin has a NIKON DSLR camera; I borrowed it for me to take some pictures. That was the start of my interest and passion in photography.

It was my first time to use this kind of camera. I tried all of the features and dial; I experimented on it.

Here are some of the photos I captured that time.

Fireworks that inspired me!

Beautiful Colors! but has smoke on it:(
another one!

Love the Colors!
Lots of Colors from the firework display!
It was the start of my dream to have a DSLR camera of my own. I have a camera but it was only a digital point and shoot camera, it was very handy and took a lot of great pictures already but when I tried the DSLR camera, nothing beats the quality of pictures it capture. I captured a lot of things, I captured the things I saw, exactly the same color, texture, every details were perfectly captured. I know it’s not perfect, a lot were blurry, has a lot of smoke; I failed to capture the perfect angle at the perfect time but still I had fun.
My angle is not good! :(

Smoke from the Firework display of the near by Barangay! :(

After all the Firework displays!!
I also captured all of the smoke coming from the all of the fireworks lighted near our place. It was a bit sad because we know for a fact that it’s one of the causes why our ozone layer was damaged but we can’t avoid lighting only a single display of brilliant fireworks. Nonetheless, we all had fun watching all the spectacular firework displays. I can say that FIREWORKS are part of our celebration during New Years Eve for they believe that it can drove away bad or negative vibes and would help make the coming year flourishing.

Furthermore, it made us happy, made us inspired but for me, it opened my eyes that an event will never happen exactly the same as we experienced it. It will just be imprinted in our memories but we don't have a solid proof to show how we enjoyed and had fun. Still, for sure, we can feel over  and over again how it made us happy, how it brought sweet smiles even as years pass-by

That is why, I believe that those moments in our life should be recorded not only in our hearts and in our minds but also we should have tangible memories that we can repeatedly see and share to other people which can  also help and inspire them in some other way.
